Recently, the World Computing Conference, co-organized by The People's Government of Hunan Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was held in Changsha. The digital intelligence technology products of enterprises such as Cainiao, Baidu and Lenovo were selected as the outstanding achievements for special exhibition at the conference. The World Computing Conference, formerly known as the World Computer Conference, is the first worldwide industrial conference in the field of computing approved by the State Council, and has been held for four times since 2019. The "Intelligent Supply Chain Program" created by Cainiao, as an innovative technology in the field of digitally-enabled supply chain, was selected as outstanding achievement for special exhibition at the conference. This product is a universal application system developed by Cainiao in the process of serving customers from FMCG retail, manufacturing, electronics and other industries to deal with common pain points in supply chain operations, with built-in data, algorithms, processes, visualization and other capabilities, and is committed to solving the two core propositions of improving the satisfaction rate and lowering the inventory cost in the supply chain field. By combining operations and AI, Cainiao's "Intelligent Supply Chain Program" can optimize end-to-end supply chain operations for enterprises in the retail, manufacturing, fresh food, electronics and other industries, including daily operations, abnormality diagnosis and optimal decision-making.

"As market competition intensifies, enterprises are paying more and more attention to the supply chain, and the core of supply chain management lies in the plan to coordinate the resources and relationships between supply chain members and in their internals, but the traditional way of formulating plans involves problems such as high reliance on manual labor, low efficiency, inaccuracy, and difficult collaboration," said Wang Zihao, director of algorithm technology of Cainiao, in his speech at the conference. According to Mr. Wang, Cainiao's "Intelligent Supply Chain Program" will enable supply chain management to upgrade from "whether there is a plan or not" to "whether the plan is accurate or not" by providing functions like demand plan based on sales forecast, inventory plan based on global optimization, replenishment plan based on intelligent distribution, and production plan and scheduling based on operations optimization.

The information released by Cainiao at the conference site shows that it has applied the "Intelligent Supply Chain Program" to many industries such as FMCG, industrial manufacturing and automotive, and has brought positive results for related enterprises. For example, the planning workload leaps from "days" to "minutes" based on the common planning workflow across business models. At present, Cainiao is extending the application of its digital supply chain products, including the Intelligent Supply Chain Program, to logistics, FMCG, industrial manufacturing, automotive and other industries.
