Recently, the “2023 Global Logistics Technology Conference” was held in Haikou. At the meeting, Cainiao won three annual logistics technology innovation awards for its cooperation with SAIC-GM-Wuling, Fotile Kitchen Appliances, and a large aviation company in the field of logistics technology. Cainiao also once again won the recommended brand for logistics technology equipment. Insiders pointed out that the projects for which Cainiao won awards this time involve various complex scenarios and different technological applications, indicating that the logistics industry is accelerating towards digitization, automation, and intelligence. Cainiao, which leads in intelligent logistics capabilities, has also entered a new stage of technology output and empowerment for thousands of industries.

It is reported that the “2023 Logistics Technology Innovation Case” selection was organized by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP). The selected projects were required to have certain innovation, and the technology or products should have practical application value, promote enterprises, and promote the logistics industry. This time, the Cainiao was awarded the project of innovative cases, involving different industries such as aviation transportation, production manufacturing, retail consumption, and applying various technologies such as digital twinning, transportation optimization, and information systems. The related technologies and solutions not only bring cost reduction and efficiency improvement effects to enterprises, but also give the industry transformation and upgrading a “digital wing”, and some technological capabilities have reached the international leading level.
Taking SAIC-GM-Wuling, which was selected as a logistics technology innovation case with Cainiao this time, as an example, as a leading domestic brand in the automotive industry, SAIC-GM-Wuling has sold over 1.6 million vehicles by 2022, and many models are popular among consumers. Its M2C business development is also quite rapid, with the sales proportion continuously increasing. To better support business growth and transformation, SAIC-GM-Wuling aims to further enhance its management level and digitize its supply chain system. SAIC-GM-Wuling's digital supply chain system in cooperation with Cainiao has laid the foundation for this.
It is reported that the intelligent logistics platform provided by Cainiao to SAIC-GM-Wuling enables the automatic allocation of transportation tasks through Cainiao's intelligent order allocation algorithm, replacing manual allocation with system automation, thereby improving efficiency and reducing operating costs. The algorithm for whole vehicle logistics scheduling based on cost and time efficiency, designed and created by both parties for the first time, recommends the most cost-effective or time-efficient scheduling path and carrier through a system of big data algorithms, eliminating the reliance on experience and manual selection in scheduling. The leading edge of technology is an important guarantee for achieving the above results. Taking the built-in Cainiao VRP algorithm as an example in transportation optimization solutions, this algorithm has not only won the prestigious Franz Edelman Award, known as the "Oscar" in the field of operations research and optimization, but also broke 57 world records.
