Cainiao Logistics Technology makes new progress in going global. Recently, Cainiao signed a cooperation agreement with B2B cross-border trade distribution channel provider Spotter. Alibaba will leverage its leading advantage in digital supply chain to provide Spotter with a new generation of intelligent warehouse management system, helping it establish a standardized and efficient warehousing management system for overseas warehouses, and jointly supporting Chinese brands to go global. This is another achievement for Cainiao Logistics Technology in its overseas expansion, following its technological cooperation with companies such as Daraz and Flash Express.

It is reported that Spotter is a B2B cross-border trade distribution channel focusing on the European and American markets. As explorers in the self-operated ecosystem of channels such as Amazon and Walmart, Spotter has established strategic partnerships with many well-known brand sellers such as Laifen and Hellobaby, empowering sellers' brand layout in overseas channels with digital capabilities, and helping brands accelerate their overseas expansion. In 2021, the Spotter brand was officially established in California, USA, with its global headquarters located in Chongqing and a supply chain system in North America.
Like many companies that engage in international trade, as Spotter's business continues to grow, logistics has become a bottleneck for the development of its cross-border business. “Previously, Spotter used a combination of outsourced and self-developed WMS systems, which were not efficient in complex bulk B2B outbound scenarios, inconvenient to operate, had disorganized system data, poor integration with external systems, and could not meet the development needs of the company's lean logistics”. Spotter's CTO, Sam He, said that Cainiao has world-class logistics technology capabilities and Spotter hopes to leverage its core capabilities and delivery cases in digital supply chain to jointly create an intelligent warehousing system, continuously empower business development, and better meet the needs of brand expansion overseas.
It is reported that the WMS (Warehouse Management System) project between Cainiao and Spotter has been launched. The project is based on Cainiao's self-developed WMS system, covering the entire business process of Spotter's self-operated warehouse management, and deeply integrating with OMS system (Order Management System), MDM system (Master Data Management System), ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning System), and BI system (Business Intelligence System) to ensure end-to-end management of warehousing operations.
